Let’s talk Gold Filled…

Gold-filled jewellery is composed of a solid layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or some base metal.

Gold-filled jewellery has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated and because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewellery lasts longer and stands up to wear and tear better than gold plated.

As long as gold filled pieces are well cared for, they can last a lifetime.

Keep gold plated jewelry in a plastic bag – When not using your gold plated jewelry, put it in a plastic bag, remove the excess air by squeezing it, and seal it. The lack of oxygen in the bag will help keep the gold plated jewelry bright and shiny.
